Asian currencies were trading higher. Indonesian rupiah was up 1%, Thai Baht 0.54%, South Korean won 0.48%, China Offshore 0.17%, Singapore dollar 0.15%, China renminbi 0.14%, Malaysian ringgit 0.1%, Philippines peso 0.05%.
US Dollar set for biggest weekly drop in 2019
The US dollar consolidated overnight losses and is set for its biggest weekly drop in 10 months as the threat of a U.S. government shutdown and lower bond yields on the back of concerns of slowing economic growth weigh.
