SoftBank’s Son Is Raising $21 Billion in IPO


SoftBank Group founder Masayoshi Son is seeking to raise 2.4 trillion yen ($21.1 billion) with an initial public offering of his Japanese telecom operations, in what would be the country’s largest IPO yet.

The Japanese technology giant said in a prospectus Monday it will sell 1.6 billion shares at 1,500 yen apiece in a new entity called SoftBank Corp., which will start trading on Dec. 19. (Source – Bloomberg)
