Indian share market winning streak stopped by financial services, investors were cautious as December-quarter earnings season. the BSE Sensex closed 106.41 points, or 0.29%, up at 36,106.50, and the Nifty 50 ended 33.55 points, or 0.31%, higher at 10,821.60.
The BSE midcap and smallcap indices surge 0.9 percent
The BSE midcap and smallcap indices surge to 0.9% and 0.8%, respectively. All the sectoral indices on BSE, except telecom, posted gains led by consumer durables, which rose over 2%. Industrial, Healthcare, finance and capital goods were up over 1%.
